Justin Boswell, Community Healthcare System of NE Kansas (CHCS) Board Chairman, has announced the upcoming retirement of Todd Willert, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for CHCS. Boswell stated Willert’s last scheduled day is July 12, 2024.
Willert joined CHCS in March 2015 while the new hospital was already under construction. During his tenure, CHCS has brought on a general surgeon and additional family medicine providers, while expanding surgical and orthopedic services. He’s also facilitated development of new service lines including cardio-pulmonary rehab and bringing nuclear medicine in-house, while expanding counselling services “We are grateful for Todd’s leadership and expertise these past 9 years,” Boswell said
“This is an amazing organization whose best years are still ahead of it”, Willert said. “CHCS is blessed with a truly incredible medical staff supported by a strong and dedicated Board of Directors, with associates who are committed to providing the very highest level of care – every day - to our patients and communities.” Willert says retirement will offer he and his wife Nancy the opportunity to see their grandchildren more frequently, assist with his aging parents and check -off their bucket list of places they want to visit.
Boswell said the search to recruit a new CEO will soon be underway. “The Board of Directors, administrative staff, and medical staff will work closely together to ensure CHCS maintains its high level of leadership and continues to thrive,” he said.
“On behalf of the Board of Directors and everyone at CHCS, I want to thank Todd for his service and for sharing his many leadership qualities We wish all the best to Todd and Nancy as they transition into retirement,” Boswell said.
