CHCS has named Christy McDaris, LPN, as lead nurse at the St. Marys Clinic.
According to Merica Surdez, chief of provider and clinic operations, McDaris is an ideal fit.
“Christy is always kind, has a positive attitude, and is a hard worker. I’m excited that she has accepted this role and look forward to watching her grow,” Surdez said.

CHCS installs AED in St. Marys thanks to grant funding

Community HealthCare System has installed an automated external defibrillator, or AED, at St. Marys Family Health Center thanks to grant funding from the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation.
AEDs are lightweight, portable devices that deliver an electric shock through the chest to the heart to help someone who is experiencing sudden cardiac arrest. The shock can potentially stop an irregular heartbeat and allow a normal rhythm to resume.

Community HealthCare System has completed an imaging technology upgrade at St. Marys Family Health Center and Holton Family Health Center. X-ray machines are now fully digital, which means that clearer images are available much more quickly.

Community HealthCare System’s St. Marys Clinic will offer extended hours starting Tuesday, July 6.
The clinic will be open 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Hours on Mondays and Fridays will remain 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday hours are 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
